As it is clear that most of Kaldar men are addicted with narcotics and the Taliban arrested all these men and admit them in Mazar in a house with punishment, in each village around 30 men were arrested, unfortunately during punishing them with cold water daily, two young boys died and they submit their bodies back to Kaldar, unfortunately from these 30 men in each village around 15 of them have pregnant women so this cause lots of problem for the pregnant women too.
They are working very hard to feeding the rest of their children, their income is the same like before but the paying cost instead of weaving carpet while the food cost got high triple, is not enough as we heard that WFP will help food materials but only 10 percent from whole Kaldar can got benefit.
Children mortality is getting increased due to cold weather, using narcotics for keeping warm and sleepy, not accessible of medication even in health center, lack of medication (even in all over Afghanistan) due not imported till the situation changed, hunger and not caring them well as the mother is busy for earning money to find food for them.
Fortunately, the big opportunities for them is our facilities which we provide ANC visit plus distributing good quality of medication in this difficult time, unfortunately this local war caused lots of problem in each family in Kaldar, some photos are attached.
